7-Day Morocco Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Errachidia – Dades Gorges
Start your journey from Errachidia Airport and travel via the Todra Gorges to the Dades Gorges. Overnight stay in a hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou
Explore the Dades Gorges, Roses Valley, and Kasbah Amridil. Continue to Ouarzazate to visit Kasbah Taourirt and Atlas Studios, then proceed to Ait Ben Haddou. Overnight stay in a hotel or Riad in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora
Drive from Ouarzazate to Zagora via Ait Saoune, Agdez, and the Draa Valley. Stop at Tamegroute to see its famous pottery. Overnight stay in a hotel or Riad in Zagora.

Day 4: Zagora – Tafraoute Sidi Ali
Travel from Zagora to Tafraoute Sidi Ali through Mejran and Kem Kem. Meet nomadic families along the way and experience local life. Overnight stay in a hotel or Riad.

Day 5: Tafraoute Sidi Ali – Merzouga
After breakfast, continue to Merzouga via Ramlia. Stop to view centuries-old stone inscriptions before arriving in Merzouga. Overnight stay in a hotel, Riad, or desert camp.

Day 6: Explore the Sahara Desert
Start the day exploring the Merzouga area with your driver. Visit nearby nomadic families living in tents and enjoy traditional Gnawa music. Experience the desert sunset on a camel ride and try sandboarding on the dunes. Overnight in a desert camp.

Day 7: Merzouga – Errachidia Airport
Begin with a sunrise camel ride for photo opportunities, then return to your hotel for breakfast and a shower. Drive back to Errachidia via the traditional market in Rissani, Erfoud (fossil city), and the Ziz Valley. End your tour at Errachidia Airport.
