3 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes

We start this tour from Marrakech and travel to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka. Along the way, we visit Ouarzazate, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, the Valley of Roses, and the Dades Valley.

You will enjoy a camel trek in the Sahara and spend a magical night in a Berber desert camp. The journey continues to Fes through Rissani, Erfoud, the Ziz Valley, Midelt, Azrou, and Ifrane.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After meeting at the agreed location, we drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying beautiful panoramic views and traditional Berber villages.

We visit the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou, then stop for lunch near the kasbahs. Afterward, we continue to the Dades Valley for an overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we travel towards Merzouga, passing through Berber villages along the way.

We visit the famous Todra Gorges, then continue through Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud, where the desert landscape begins.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will prepare for your camel trek. Ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy a stunning sunset.

Spend the night in a Berber camp with traditional music, dinner, and a unique desert atmosphere.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast.

Return by camel to the hotel for a shower, then begin the journey to Fes. Travel through Rissani, Erfoud, and the Ziz Valley, with stops for scenic views.

Continue via Midelt and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the cedar forest near Azrou to see Barbary macaques.

Optionally visit Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” before arriving in Fes. Drop-off at your accommodation.
