Morocco Tour: Casablanca – Marrakech – Merzouga – Fes

We will start this tour from Casablanca and end in Fes, exploring Morocco’s most iconic cities, mountains, and the Sahara Desert.

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech

After meeting at the agreed location in Casablanca, we will visit some of the city’s highlights:

  • Hassan II Mosque – the largest mosque in Morocco
  • United Nations Square
  • Corniche – the coastal seaside promenade

Afterwards, we will drive to Marrakech, where you will have free time to explore the old town.
Overnight: Hotel or Riad in Marrakech

Day 2: Full Day in Marrakech

In the morning, you will visit:

  • Menara Gardens – featuring a central pool and surrounding flowerbeds used for irrigation
  • Koutoubia Mosque
  • Majorelle Gardens
  • Bahia Palace
  • Dar Si Said Palace – Museum of Jewellery

Optional lunch in the Medina, followed by a stroll through the colorful souks. End the day with a sunset drink overlooking Jamaa El Fna Square from a café terrace.
Overnight: Hotel in Marrakech

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we will drive southeast through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views.

  • Explore ancient Berber villages along the route
  • Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Lunch at a local Kasbah restaurant

Continue to the Dades Valley for overnight.
Overnight: Hotel or Riad in Dades Valley

Day 4: Dades Valley – Tinjdad – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, we head toward Erg Chebbi at Merzouga:

  • Pass through Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud – entering the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet
  • Check-in at a hotel in Merzouga; leave most luggage behind

Camel Trekking Adventure:

  • Ride camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes
  • Walk to the highest dunes for sunset views and sandboarding
  • Spend the night in a Berber nomad camp with traditional drumming music

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Ifrane – Fes

  • Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes
  • Breakfast at the camp, then ride camels back to the hotel
  • Depart to Fes via Errachidia, Aoufous, and the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views of the oasis
  • Continue to Midelt for lunch
  • Drive through the Cedar Forest near Azrou and Middle Atlas Mountains, with chances to see Barbary apes
  • Stop in Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” before reaching Fes
