6-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

We will start our journey from Marrakech, traveling through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, continue to Ouarzazate, and explore the beautiful Draa Valley and Zagora.

We will then travel through Tazarine, Alnif, and Rissani to reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, where you will enjoy a camel ride and spend the night in a Berber desert camp.

On the return journey, we will explore Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, and the Roses Valley before heading back to Marrakech.

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate

After meeting at the agreed location, we depart from Marrakech toward the southeast, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m).
We visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet, where lunch will be served.

In the afternoon, we travel through the beautiful Ounila Valley and its traditional Berber villages to reach Ait Ben Haddou.
We then continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora

After breakfast, we depart for Agdz via the Anti-Atlas Mountains (1,660 m).
We continue along the scenic Draa Valley, known for its palm groves and traditional villages, until we reach Zagora.

After lunch, we visit Tamgroute, famous for its ancient Quranic library, underground kasbah, and traditional pottery workshops.
Return to Zagora for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

We depart from Zagora and follow the Draa Valley before taking an off-road track toward Taftechna and Ait Ouaazique, known for prehistoric rock carvings.

We continue via Tazarine and Alnif (lunch stop), then head toward Merzouga via Rissani.
Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi dunes, you will switch to camels for a sunset ride across the dunes.

Enjoy dinner and an unforgettable night in a traditional Berber desert camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinjdad – Dades Valley

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel and continue to Erfoud.

We pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad (lunch stop), then continue to the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we travel through the Dades Valley (also known as Asif N’dades in Tamazight), famous as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.”

We stop at Kalaat M’Gouna to explore the Roses Valley and purchase local rose products.

Continue via Skoura and visit the historic Amridil Kasbah before arriving in Ouarzazate for overnight stay.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios in Ouarzazate.

Then drive back to Marrakech Via Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
